About the Teams

Fort Wayne TinCaps

The Fort Wayne TinCaps are a Minor League Baseball team based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, competing in the Midwest League as the High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Previously known as the Fort Wayne Wizards, the team was purchased by Hardball Capital in 2006, who partnered with the City of Fort Wayne to build their current home, Parkview Field. The TinCaps name pays homage to Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman), the folk hero who wore a tin pot as a hat and spent his final years in Fort Wayne. Fans can find the most up-to-date information on scores, schedules, stats, tickets, and team news on their official website

Cedar Rapids Kernels

The Cedar Rapids Kernels are a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League, serving as the High-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. Based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Kernels take their name from the region’s strong connection to corn production. The team has been performing well recently, with back-to-back wins in Peoria reported on their social media. Fans can follow the Kernels’ latest achievements, including recent games where they swept Saturday in Peoria, winning the continued game 13-6 and taking the nightcap 4-1, through their official MiLB.com website.
